TONIGHT'S LOCAL CRUISE IN

The family & I Hit one of the local cruise in's tonight..Was really cool since my wife & daughter followed us up in the Vette..The vette was too new so no go for the show..Lots of really nice well done cars...& this place is a real kick back to the good ole days of road side food places..Kinda like what you see on that show Dinners..Drive ins & Dives..I love to see places like this thriving & doing well it's really one of the true American Icons that invokes a real sense of Americana...Plus to boot the food was great !!

Some REAL HEAVY METAL FOR SURE Man I'm having so much fun driving the Camaro & hitting the cruise ins..It's hard to get motivated to work on the stang..It's a lot more fun washing & waxing vs body work

Looking at the photos some of yall have posted from "small local" shows, I'm amazed at the variety of cars that show up... I much prefer it that way, versus a parking lot full of one type. Like you said, pure Americana!!

Nice but if you think its fun in a see everyday Camaro, wait till you pull in in the Mustang. People will follow you to your parking spot. My as well put a sign on it of the year, because like I have said before "If I have to answer one more time, What year is it?" Think I will qualify for one of those new gun icons:dodgy:

My kiddo ran off to hang with her buddies last night so I told the wife. Hey I need to give Betty another practice run see if the wiring and alternator change out improved the situation. Thought heck I'll run down to the cruise-in with my club.

"NO I dont want to go" :huh:

So I call a friend with his 80 Camaro and 468 bb. Hey you want to run down to the club cruise-in? Sure. So we get a few blocks away and he's got an oil leak. we return to discover his rear seal on the new intake is leaking. So we get in my car, realize its late now. Ahh let's go run around the area find a few straights we can stretch her legs.

Car ran great. She gets rubber in second like it's nothing. Nice 20 or so minutes. she's charging fine and I'm happy.

Wife works at a hospital so she's on today. she calls, "NEXT TIME YOU JUST WANT TO RIDE AROUND WHY DONT YOU INVITE ME" :dodgy: I didnt want to go to the cruise-in..they bore me and you know that car scares me.

Sorry I couldn't make it Q. My son's game went to extra innings and we did the Mother's day thing yesterday and after dinner I got the stink eye from my mother and my wife when I said I was gonna head down to Bill's.

We are going to go again..But there's so many local cruise in's I'm trying to hit as many different ones as possible..I think Berlin Tpke next..When I had my stang on the road I used to cruise up to that one every so often..Been 24 years since I've been up there.

Really neat cruise-in, even a Mercedes to offset the American cars! So which car does your daughter like the most, the Vette or the Camaro (of course she will like the Mach 1 the most when it is done)?

I don't think she has a favorite..But she does like the Vette for modern convenience..Plus the top comes off..
