Ready to tape off to paint lower blackout. I have the decal kit that goes over the transition between black and body color.

My question is, on the 429 paint site, it shows the line is just over 4 1/2" measured up from rocker. Looked today, and the body line on door is not parallel to the rocker. Is the blackout supposed to be parallel to the rocker, or the body line, can't be both.

I saw on another post that the space between the wide and narrow decal should be on the body line, so the wide decal is basically below it and the narrow decal above. Not sure if that is correct. Can someone give some guidance on how to tape this off before I mess it up, lol! Thanks!

The paint line follows the body line. Keep it slightly below the line so that the bottom stripe of the dual element tape stripe covers the paint edge and you're good to go. The 429 Megasite shows the different doorjamb patterns, pick the one that works for you.

I followed the body line when I painted my lower body. The wider stripe is 3/4" wide, so I cut that in half and placed the mask line 3/8" below the body line so the top of the lower wider stripe ran along the body line and the thinner upper stipe was above the body line. I thought this would also allow the mask line to run right down the middle of the lower stripe and give me 3/8" of adjustment either way, if necessary, when I applied the stripes. I am not sure if that is "correct" but it looks right to me, and I am happy with how it turned out.
