So work called me Southwest this week.  Flew into LAX and the Executive Aisle had one Mustang convertible calling my name.  A white ecoboost  6 cyl auto was the option.

Fun Drive from LAX to Anahiem, top up due to the chill.  Top down from Anahiem to Oceanside for day 2. (Still very chilly.)

Cold and blustery in Oceanside.  Still fun acceleration in the Mustang.

Today, a drive from Oceanside to San Diego Airport.  I was hoping to find that coastal drive I remember from the 90's, but all there was is an overdeveloped coastline of traffic lights and heavy rain from La Jolla to Mission Bay.  What happened while I was sleeping?  Is there no treasured Pacific Coast Highway to enjoy any more?

The good news, with all my travel I get to try all the Pony/Muscle Cars. (Note: rentals, not high power options.

Charger - Looks OK on the outside, kiinda boring to drive

Challenger - About the same.  Just feels like any other car.

Camaro SS - Very fun power, lots of road noise on the Texas Chip and Seal Highways.

Camaro(other) - Poor visibility, not a comfortable car at all.

Mustang - Fells good, good visibility, fun/vintage like feel with modern comfort and control.  Definitely feels good even with the smaller engine.

Wish I could of had sunny warm from the car this week, but the Mustang was enjoyable anyway!

KC-

I've pondered some choices for my next (next after that) daily driver to replace the 08 GT. I've heard that the current 2.3 turbo is possibly a better drivers car than the 5.0 because of better weight distribution. Power is still up there with what I have now. Just wish I has independent rear suspension in the 08....

The 101 from Oceanside to La jolla is not bad. After that it gets to busy. Did you drive up to mount soledad while in La jolla?
I am not sure where all I drove.  I left business in San Marco's and headed through some hilly areas to the 5.  Hit traffic so I exited west and ended up driving in the Wednesday downpour un La Jolla.  Stayed as close to the waves as I could all the way down to the airport.

Lots of Rain.  I did go see my brother and n law and his family in Escondido on Tuesday.  I guess I should have looked you up.

I just rented a Camaro and hated it. The visibility is terrible. I thought our Mustangs were bad but the Camaro is worst. Inside it feels very cramped and there is no space in the rear seats. My Mustang has more space inside that this thing.

In LAX today as well, but on foot.
