So work called me Southwest this week. Flew into LAX and the Executive Aisle had one Mustang convertible calling my name. A white ecoboost 6 cyl auto was the option.
Fun Drive from LAX to Anahiem, top up due to the chill. Top down from Anahiem to Oceanside for day 2. (Still very chilly.)
Cold and blustery in Oceanside. Still fun acceleration in the Mustang.
Today, a drive from Oceanside to San Diego Airport. I was hoping to find that coastal drive I remember from the 90's, but all there was is an overdeveloped coastline of traffic lights and heavy rain from La Jolla to Mission Bay. What happened while I was sleeping? Is there no treasured Pacific Coast Highway to enjoy any more?
The good news, with all my travel I get to try all the Pony/Muscle Cars. (Note: rentals, not high power options.
Charger - Looks OK on the outside, kiinda boring to drive
Challenger - About the same. Just feels like any other car.
Camaro SS - Very fun power, lots of road noise on the Texas Chip and Seal Highways.
Camaro(other) - Poor visibility, not a comfortable car at all.
Mustang - Fells good, good visibility, fun/vintage like feel with modern comfort and control. Definitely feels good even with the smaller engine.
Wish I could of had sunny warm from the car this week, but the Mustang was enjoyable anyway!
