I've actually heard of this it is an old school trick. Some use "Bar Keeper's Friend" brand scouring powder. My rebuild has excessive blow by and I have been contemplating this "fix". What have I got to lose?

have you done a compression or leak down test? If so, do you remember the results? Chuck

there are so many of these automotive fails.

highlights:

the guy that could not grasp the concept of why there is no such thing as a perpetual motion machine. He reasoned he could make more and more turbo boost simply by redirecting the exhaust of the motor back into the intake of the motor.

There's no doubt that much (most) of it is trolling, but it has lots of entertainment value. I spent a chunk of time reading the HTR forum post about putting brakleen in the oil. I cried a few times from laughing so hard. I can't imagine ANYONE being that dumb, so it has to be trolling.
