Hi,

Mustang Mach1-1973 Deluxe interior.

Normally i have the original washer switch and the original dashboard wiring harness but the switch is not matching with the harness plug.

I have also from a friend a piece(variable speed?) between the washer switch and the harness plug, must a use this piece in a Mustang 1973?

What's wrong??

Try a shout out to TheRKTmn. I bought a variable wiper unit and switch from him that came with a great explanation of how to make the various plugs on the switches work with pin realignment. Maybe he can post or send you a copy. There were a couple of versions and even AMC used the same basic Motorcraft units in Jeeps. I couldn't put my hands on the pictures that came with the switch but everything worked as shown.

Sound like you need the correct switch

The delay box will be plugged inbetween the original wiring and you NEED the correct wiper switch

There is the standard 2 speed switch

and

A delayed switch that also turns the other way for the delay section.

Hi Don,

Thanks for advice, i have 3 washer/wiper switches(they 2 other are different).

I send tomorrow a pic from the other switches.

I see also that i'm missing the vacuum three above fire wall engine compartment.

try to plug in the ones you have

There is a plastic stop block ONLY the correct switch will plug in

hold your switches and turn the knob to the left [ counter-clockwise ]

If you find one does turn that way that would be the delayed switch

delated switches usually had the round knob
