i can't recall when exactly my speedometer started not being on the ZERO but it rests on the odometer button shaft instead which is probably about 20-25mph off. when i drive around the speedometer still moves and etc.

i don't know if its my speedometer thats broken or maybe just the cable. whats up and whats going on?

i did forget to mention i have removed and reinstalled the cable at the back of the speedometer a time or two since i last know it rested on the zero last.

Wait edit - sorry Olie was just joking - last time I did a + 1 to someone joke all hell broke lose with donstang and kit sullivan :dodgy: I better not do that anymore :p

If it is dropping down to the 6 O'clock postion - I think it is in the speedo head - not the cable

Pop the cable off the trans and spin it by hand to see if it is binding up

I've taken it off lately and it doesn't bind when turned.
I think [ not 100% sure ] it would be the speedo head then

Logic says if the cable was causing it - unhooking the cable would let it go back to zero

Also I'm assuming it sits at 6 o'clock when stopped , correct?

sits on the trip reset button shaft ?

Don
