Hello all! So I have a wilwood master cylinder with proportioning valve combo that I'm about to bench bleed and install. In running manual brakes and 4 wheel disc brakes. My car was originally a power brake car so I have acquired the manual brake pedal and hanger that goes under the dash. They are installed.

Per the Wilwood instructions... you want to have full brake pedal throw to bottom out the master cylinder before your brake pedal hits the floor. If I set it up this way, my pedal sticks out pretty far from the floor. .. like 8". I feel like I would have to raise my foot up to hit the brake pedal. No bueno for a performance mod.

My questions... how high does the brake pedal go from the floor?
Since I have no reference, can someone please measure the height of both the gas pedal and brake pedal from the floor? My car has no interior yet so I'm working with a metal floor here. Maybe some pics so I can gauge the right pedal height? Thanks.... as I have absolutely no interior.

Also.... do you need 100% of the pedal throw? Can I shorten the master cylinder push rod (it's adjustable) and use only 75% of the throw to lower my pedal to whatever height it should be at? I've never had a brake pedal go to the floor unless I spring a leak.

Thanks foe the help!

Have similar setup as you, 4 wheel manual disc. Photos should help get you going.

Anyone running a wilwood master with their adjustable brake cyl linkage? Are you set up for full pedal throw before bleeding the master cylinder?
