I did see those parts listed...thank you. But these cars are Fords, not Ferraris, and at that price I just have to laugh.
These are not the brackets I need. The application is 1971 Mustang fastback with fold down rear seat and trap door that opens into the truck. The brackets bolt in and are only about 4" to 5" wide. Thank you for replying! These??Wanted: Anyone have a pair of trap door support brackets? They are visible in the trunk and support the trap door latches. Mine have speaker cut-outs in them. They work, but they're ugly:exclamation: Thanks for reading:exclamation:
Would it be different for a 73? Mine is a fold down seat with trap door... See pic. These are not the brackets I need. Yes, the '71 is a different design. Thanks for the picture and it looks like the '73 version is a design improvement. I'd upgrade using your brackets but this original barn-find is worth keeping original. Thanks!Would it be different for a 73? Mine is a fold down seat with trap door... Do you still have those brackets, the ones you show in the picture? I have a 72 FB. Would they work? These??Wanted: Anyone have a pair of trap door support brackets? Yes, I still have the old brackets in the picture. Are you looking for a good set for your '72, or do you have a good set you would be willing to part with? Looks like I could bolt them in the way they are. perhaps that crack is not too bad. Can it be welded?Depends on your definition of "good." They aren't swiss cheese, but will need to be stripped and refinished. One has a crack that will need to be repaired.
Thanks for posting all the pictures! Beautiful '73. One of the best mustangs ever made!Looks like I could bolt them in the way they are. perhaps that crack is not too bad. Ok, sounds good to me. Let me know how much you want for them. Thank you.I'm sure it could be.
