Good post, Eric. A big CO2 extinguisher or dry chemical extiguisher should always be at hand - the US Navy uses a lot of petroleum products and requires every sailor to understand which type of fire extinguisher to use. Good info and thanks for posting it.

NICE! A burnout turns into a burn UP!

Complete incompetence there. Burning oil, fuel and grease let alone the burning rubber. Heat+smoke=FIRE, rubber burns real good and hot. I do not understand why this does not happen more often.

 
wow, cant believe they kept spraying water instead of fire extinguisher. did the driver get out ok ?

Fact - Which is why we have training all the time. needed some AFFF or at least and ABC extinguisher there. Ill bet one good ABC bottle woulda knocked it out if you could have gotten it where the problem was starting.

Yeah AFFF would of had that fire out in a matter of seconds. Now to teach these clowns how the fire triangle works.
