While not an authority on 'em, (I'd be willing to bet that) it's just a Thunderjet that somebody dropped into a pickup truck.

Wrong valve covers are the first clue.

Holley in place of a Q-jet is the second (I think).

No deal.

A true cj motor will not have dove heads. Should be DOOE-R heads with Finn valve covers and the oil dip stick should be a chrome handle. Although the 6015-AA might be a cobra jet it does not mean it is. There are servaral differences between a thunder jet and a cobra jet.

1970/71 Lincoln 460 in a truck. As previously pointed out - wrong valve covers, Duraspark distributor, Holley wouldn't be original for either, wrong head casting.

The block might indeed carry a D1VE-6015-AA part number - which may or may not be the correct, thick-web, 4-bolt main, 385-series block from which you can build up a 429. It's also more likely a 2-bolt main. At either rate, these are common to passenger car 460's. The clincher are the D0VE-C passenger car heads, which have nothing to do with the CJ or SCJ. They certainly do not add up to $2k for this tired-looking thing.
