I made a couple parts runs to Michigan in the past. Brought back several NASA hoods and bunch of consoles. I find the best interior parts there. I guess the roof does not hold the salt as bad so he keeps them. 

I have kept a 1965 Mustang roof for 40 years and never found a buyer. Vinyl tops take out more than trees.
