In the past I have purchased wire by the foot from a company named 4RCustoms. They have a large selection of colors and markings. I am curious, are there are any other companies that offer wire by the foot, that have a good selection of colors and markings. 

I need to re-wire my headlights and signals.  Would you recommend GXL insulation?

I buy my wire from Rhode Island Wire, all with PVC insulation.  They sell by the foot, and I typically buy 200 feet at a time.  Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. 

 
Ha!  I use scotch 33.  The non-adhesive stuff is expensive and difficult to use.
