Hey guys, I want to add hood pins on my 72 Grande. Not the original 71-73 ones but those Ford Racing or Shelby with the external wires (I think they may look really good on our cars, adding something very "muscle car" :D) :

I do have the NASA hood on my Mustang, so it would be cool to drill the holes at the right place.

I can't choose between those hood pins kit, both seem to have 24 or 25 inches long wires, but will it be enough if the holes are drilled there :

What do you think ? Which kit do you think will look and fit the best ?

Thanks for helping me out :)

if you drill the hole in the same spot as twist locks, there is no place to mount the pin

You have to drill back about 7 - 8 inches or make a bracket

i used those pins/locks, after slighty scratching the paint when pulling the pin, i quickly changed to another set of locks, now i have these..

looks a lot cleaner..

downside is, you have to make a big hole in your hood...

Give me till the weekend. When I'm back home, I will send you the pics of my car and show you how it was done and where to put them.
