Does any know of a source for trunk torsion rods ‘73 vert? I’d be most appreciativ.

There are 2 versions of the rods . One is thicker then the other. The thick ones have more strength and are made for the rear Mach 1 spoilers. The thick ones are also impossible to find. I have a spare set of the thin versions. I have one thick rod and one thick rod that is broken. I need to find one more thick rod. My trunk lid will not pop open without help, it's a real drag
. Check out my photo . The white rod is the thick one. The thin one is black. I am not sure is the thin one is Aftermarket, I purchased them years ago. If anyone has one thick one I would purchase . Good luck,Attachments

Did some research, my rods are good for fastback NON spoiler only. Convertibles require a different rod. MY BAD !

I saw This thread and decided 28 years was long enough to go with a trunk lid that wouldn’t stay open. I watched the video below and he used vice grips at the 14 minute mark and made it look easy. It was. I don’t know if my rods are weak or what but it was quick and easy and the trunk stays up now.
