My wiper arms are parking to high. I looked at some pics of the car before I tore it down and the wipers parked down at the bottom of the windshield. I tried a spare wiper motor That one wouldn't park at all. I read Bentworkers thread and greased up both gear boxes. No change to either boxes parks to high and no park. Removed wiper linkage out cowl to check it wasn't a linkage clocking problem.

Am I mistaking shouldn't the wipers tuck down under the hood after parking?

You should be able to remove them and reposition them. I ran my wiper motor for about ten minutes w/o the wiper arms, then turned it on and off a few times to check the position before installing the wiper arm.

I did just that with the car running for about 15 minutes or so. Thanks.

The wiper arms are adjustable, the procedure for setting them is in the service manual. I don't have access to mine right now, but if you have the manual it's a pretty straight forward task.
I looked in the service manual but at the motor not the arms. Too the garage!! Thanks.

Yes, there's several degrees of adjustment on the arms where they mount on the pivot shaft.
I've been searching threw 71 shop manual preliminary, volume 3 electrical and volume 4 body I can't anything on wiper linkage adjustment.
