I have the original stock steel rims with the trim rings and hubcaps. They are 14” x 7” now that I’ve had my leaf springs replaced it looks like I should put 60s on the back. Presently have 70s will the 7” rim hold 60s or should I forget about it. I’d hate to have a tire come off the rim because I went to big

The problem with 14" tires today, is the limited selection of appropriate tire sizes. The largest 60 size 14" tire is a 245/60R14. IMO, the smaller sizes are too short and get lost in the larger wheel wells.

The BFG is spec'd for a 7" rim, so you'll be fine. I ran them on 6" wheels back when we didn't know any better. AFAIK, it's the only currently available brand with that size.
