There was an interesting event yesterday at the Chatham-Kent Municipal Airport. It was "Mustang and Mustangs" day. This was a fund raiser for a local charity. The organizers thought there might be 100 Mustangs show up, but nearly double that attended. All were photographed on entry with a real P51 Mustang. The weather couldn't have been better, clear skies and warm temps.
Although the owner of the P51 did not fly it on this day, he did fly his Supermarine Spitfire Mk XIV (14). Being a Brit, I have always loved the Spitfire and although I've seem many in the past, I had not seen one this close, actually fly. Unfortunately my camera is not the best for videos, but I did get some shaky shots.
Here are a few pics from around the show.
