Ford used them in the late 70s and into the mid 80s. They were in Mustangs, Capris, Fairmonts, Zephyrs, Bronco IIs, F100/150, Thunderbird, and Cougars. Some used the turn signal stalk for the horn and those wheels don't have the contacts on the back. They were made in rubber-like material on the grip (most of them), but every once in a while a leather one comes up for sale.I like the wheel! But can't find one on line what year?
That's one without the horn contacts.
That wheel was used on some mustang II models (74-78). I had a black 1978 4-speed fastback with that style wheel and slotted rims. Wish I had it back.I like the wheel! But can't find one on line what year?
That's what I'm using as well. I think mine was from a '79 Mustang. I like it as much as any aftermarket wheel I've seen around.
I think I shot this with the wide angle lens so it's a bit distorted.
I have the original steering whell from my 73 convert - looks like fake padded one. Decent shape- maybe $30?All good info, of course. Thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions.
