It is the ram air option. It says body stripe on your report there but does they include the hood decal ? Or you have the ram air option would that always come with the hood decal and I mean the large stripe not the words ram air on side of hood. My other Mach 1 has the stripe along the bottom only I’ll post a photo of it and it’s marti report he has nothing about a body stripe on it. Thanks for y’all trying to assist to take the time. Keep in mind this is the one I got in August the one I just bought Its being packed up and shipped across several states so I don’t have it yet and it’s not painted at all just primerMarti isn't perfect, but there's a 99.9% chance that if it's not on the report, it didn't come with them. Based on the report, your car would look just like the pewter Mach 1 tnfastback posted. The only exterior difference would be the 15" steel wheels vs the 14" on the car in the photo.
The 71-72 Mach 1 did not come with body side stripes unless it was specifically ordered with them. It should be noted as such on the Marti Report as "Body Side Tape stripes" or something similar.
The contrasting paint pattern on the hood was included and only available with Ram Air for 71-72. That would also be noted on the Marti Report as "Ram Air option". It also included the ram air ducting under the hood, the air filter setup, chrome twist locks and hold down brackets on the radiator support.

You know what I meant.I was trying to Explain the area I was talking about paint decal not the point the point is the location the hood. I’m not stupid I’ve been around hundreds of these since I was child when my family knew Steve Saleen in 80s as he went to th biggest Shelby and Mustang meet in then world every June in Tulsa. Now we’re off point. The egos always correcting to show off or whatever their reason, I posted this in the wrong spot anywaysThe hood is painted it's not a decal. The engine callouts on the sides of the scoops are decals. You can buy a paint mask from various Mustang supply houses.

The body side tape stripe did not include the hood paint, nor vice-versa. They were separate and mutually exclusive options.
You know I am not dense; I know it's not a decal on the hood. It's not a 78 king cobra option. You know what I was talking about, i explained to everyone in my introduction about the way I say and type things. I'm not expert at building these cars as i only built a 65 fastback before, these are my first 71's, besides the corvettes and fox body mustangs I've built. But anyways i posted this thread in the wrong spot. I thought the guys i get my information form on here would see it, so I'm deleted this one and putting it in another spot to get a larger variety. I just don't like forums because someone always try to do an ego thing where they want to create me for putting 4 valve instead of what they thought it meant, found out they didnt 4 venturi, but they know what i meant. Sorry i just hate when people try to embarrass me on hereThe hood is painted it's not a decal. The engine callouts on the sides of the scoops are decals.
