Has anyone converted their tank to a half inch fuel line? As usual, guys make 1/2" fuel sending units but only for the 65-70 cars. Would welding a separate 1/2" port or -8AN fitting onto a spot on the sending unit cover be acceptable? I would just have to find a way to put a sock filter on the -8AN fitting..

As far as steel lines. I can just bend my lines.

Anyone done any kind of mod like this?

Surprisingly, there are some very nice options for '71-73 Mustang fuel tanks.

Glenn's Performance offers 2 models that both have a 3/4" feed/return that can be adapted to various configurations. Personally, I had a stock replacement tank from NPD modified to fit a sump with AN fittings for feed/return, but I didn't know about the Glenn's Performance products at that time. Had I know, I would certainly not have gone the custom route (for the money).

Well hell, I might as well put this project on hold, as I should buy a SS tank one day. I'd like to convert to E85 when there are enough around Austin. And having SS tank Will be the ticket for that.

Thanks for those links guys. Both are helpful.
