Just lopes a tiny bit and seemed to help out power throughout the entire rpm range.

Are you saying you don't think you can hear a 494 lift over a stock cam?

My son and I replaced a stock 351W 2bbl cam, .418 lift with a .445 and the difference was very noticeable. The idle was a louder(virtually silent before), little bumpier, definitely louder, but not lopey. Can't find the stock duration in the book.
