1971 Sportsroof

Hi, New Member here.

I've had this car about a year now. Haven't gotten to do a whole lot to it other than clean out rat crap and some disassembly. I bought it without motor or transmission. Originally had a 302/auto, original paint was grabber lime. Just a sportsroof, not a Mach 1.

Welcome from Ohio. From your pictures it looks like the body is fairly decent shape but can't really tell how the inside and under neath is. As Sheriff mention, what are your plans for it. I don't know what you paid for the car but with enough money anything can be fixed and made to look brand new.

So, the real question is, what do you want to do with the car and how much time and money are you willing to put into it?

I'd say buy some phosphoric acid, a few rolls of welding wire, few sheets of metal and cancel any weekends you had on planning!
If you stick to your plan and do not cut corners, in the end, you will ride that green monster!

Welcome from St Louis. Consider finding a really rusty, but kinda complete, fastback cheap on marketplace, that has a drive-train. That will be your go-to parts stash. Get the green monster assembled and painted and running. Then assess your goals for resto-mod. This also gives you the option to sell your green monster and buy a complete resto-mod if you prefer.
