I came across this ad today on craigslist, how much do you guys think would be a good price for it?

No motor or trans, needs floorpans. Has interior? If off the road since '78, I'd say the interior is most likely shot and I'd question the "no rust" claim. I wouldn't give him more than $1k for it, in fact I'd offer $750 to do him the favor of taking it off his hands.

I don't pay more than $1200 for roller Mach 1s if it is in decent condition. If you decide to get it I have a 351c 2v & matching trans with 70k miles I paid $750 for that I can sell for what I have in it.

There's a reason it was parked, probably had some front end damage based on the front fenders. The statement that it has current tags doesn't make sense to me. I'd be concerned about frame damage.

I was going to say $400.00 since it is sitting down in the dirt. The floor pans are most likely all gone as well as the cowl, trunk floor, lower doors, lower quarter panels, and I'll throw in the inner fender area near the hood hinges...

But hey - do your homework and check it out thoroughly and you might get lucky in a few of the mentioned areas.

I would check frame rails and cowl area for rust before purchase and offer according to what you see...non rust = no more than 750

Are you planning on buying it for parts or restoration? If you need it for parts, offer $750 or less. There are still a "few" useable parts. If you're thinking of buying it to restore. Turn around and walk away. This car is beyond a basket case, plus, from what I can see it's a bare bones Mach1. Is it an "F", "H", "Q" or "R" code car? If it's an "F" or "H" code car (which I think it is), not worth it. If it's a "Q" or "R" code, might be worth it to have the title and vin plates.

How much would you get for running it across the scales? My general rule is to at least break even. I think I would pass as I do not see very many good parts on her.
