Definitely worth saving. Doesn't look like the entire trunk pan needs to be replaced - would like to see the floor pans. Wonder what's been down the intake since the carb is missing? Looks like a nice project car to me.

I am supposed to get more pics of car and when I do I'll post. I'd love to do it myse;f but 1 mustang eating up my money is all I can take, but does seem very worthwhile
You can't have too many Mustangs!

I thought the guys in SF were open by definition?

How did the floor pans get rusted out in SF? And I don't believe it is because of the pacific ocean salt spray. That might cause a little surface rust, but I don't think it is eating the floor pan.

Beware when the grill is the same color as the car. Earl Shives? or spray bomb
Earl Scheib > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Scheib

I guess they designed their own (bad) reputation:

"The company's main criterion in hiring and promoting management trainees was based on sales skills only. Knowledge of auto body repair or painting techniques was not required."

It looks as if the black plastic might have weathered silver. I'd expect a Scheib job to have painted directly over the rubber door strike moldings.
