There are re-pops out there along with some of the members who may have used ones laying around.. EBay is a good resource too..

Hello piper62j,

You may be speaking about the fastback A-pillar trim moulding. Yes, they do re-produce that one. They do not for the coupe or convertible. It is the coupe pillar trim that I am looking for. Thanks for responding.

I have one put of a 71 I believe it's passenger side. Black In color should be same as 73.

There are some reproduction pillar moldings out there, but from what I've heard so far they have been absolute junk. A friend of mine bought a set but I can't print what he had to say about them here. The coupe, convertible, and sports roof are all different. 71-3 will interchange as the 71-72 were replaced by the 73 moldings. If out of a coupe I would work a deal with 87fox72mach. If that doesn't work you can always check with Don (Ohio Mustang Supply),or our old friend E-Bay. Good luck on your search!

Hello secluff,

Yes, I P.M.ed Don of OMS and got the same response. IMO, If you are going to reproduce a part, at least make it just as good as the OEM or make it better.

Fortunately, we do have the power of the purse!! If it is crap, then tell people and do not buy it!!

Scotty Strickland should have them in Oxford, N.C. near you. He told me for verts he gets $125 each or $200 for a pair. He had two pair of verts off in hand. there were several coupes sitting in the yard.

I looked at reproducing these with a friend that has a mold shop and it is a difficult part with a couple areas that lock the part on the mold core. The core has to be made in sections and lift part of the core before the ejector plate travels. That is probably why nobody has done a repo on them cost of tooling is up there. Without a print what do you use a twisted up 45 year old part?

David
