Interesting class break out: 71 to 98 all! That's 27 years of Mustangs when the other classes only cover 2 to 5 years. Makes no sense to me!

Its called stacking the deck in an unfair way. Clubs have no respect for our cars, that a given. But looks like a good trip and good cause, thats the draw for me:D Think I will call them and ask that question

Our cars seem to be the "Rodney Dangerfield" of classic mustangs... they get no respect. I really don't care about that. Does anyone have a valid explanation for that?? I will say that everyone who sees my car, without exception has nothing but positive things to say. I'm going there to show my car and see lots of other cool mustangs and hopefully meet some cool people. It is a good cause and my family loves going to Myrtle Beach. I hope to see some of you all there!

Working on details now. Pretty sure I'm in. Trying to get my condo but might have to stay in a hotel. Oh tried to call and ask about the classes and got no answer so left a message to call me back.

they are just haters when it comes to our cars.......i say we just keep enjoying our 7173 rides

I'll be there with my 72

Guys,

I just got an email from one of your members and would like to respond to this post. First, I have a lot of respect for the 71-73 Mustangs. I had a 73 Mustang Mach I that unfortunately was totalled in an accident. We have a member in our club that also owns a 73 Mustang Mach I.

Last year at our show we noted very few cars in the classes from 71 to 98. You are not judged against other cars but individually. That is the reason multiple awards are given in any class. The club also reserves the right to break down classes more if there are a lot of cars in one class or combine classes if not enough. Last year everyone walked away with an award of some type. It should also be noted that we give 3 best of show trophies away. Best pre-1986, Best 86 and newer, Best Ford.

This year we combined a lot of classes but there are still chances for multiple awards. I hope that this explains the reasoning for the multiple years in one class. We respect everyone and love all Mustangs that attend our show. I would hope that you will attend our show and have fun. We anticipate having a very large show 250-300 cars. There will be a lot to do and vendors.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
