Cutting and buffing is done. Up next is final polishing.
that looks so sexy i want to see it :wavemulticolor::wavemulticolor:
It will be ready for viewing in a couple weeks. You will have to put the wife in the vert and come up.

Honestly, I appreciate how supportive everyone here is, but that looks horrible. You really need to strip it off and do it again after you have had some more time to practice. Until then, how about I hold onto it for you and I'll even let you paint my car for practice. You'll have to supply the paint since I'm doing you such a big favor, but think how nice your car will look when it has finally been done right.
So let me get this strait, I'm going to send you my car so you can install your drive train in to it and enjoy it for the summer. Then your going to send me your Mach as a roller for a repaint. The truth is I wanted to paint my Mach yellow but my family and friends talked me in to red. :-/ I think I can have it done by fall and send the roller back to you. Then you can send my Mach 1 back as a nice driver. And yes I will take it with the Top loader.

Not all your friends talked you out of it. I know I certainly did NOT!!!!

I think you seriously need to reconsider your position on your social environment!

But, ok if you wanna please your so called "friends" by having a "meh" color.... be my guest. :)

Nah, just kidding. It looks good.

I may have an opportunity to see it live in September. It's not decided upon yet but it's being planned. :)

I tell you what. If my car was already at that stage and looking as beautiful as yours, I'd let you tell ME what colour my car needs to be. I have to say, I'm going through one of those " I'm still only just at this stage" moments and with next to no free time to get much further these days, it's at least a treat to see yours coming along so nicely. Well done buddy.

Mike I would love for you and Carla to come see it in person.

In all seriousness, for paint and bodywork of that quality, I'd happily build a nice engine transmission combo and install it in a car. Of course I actually like mechanical work, I just hate paint and body work.
Believe me Jeff I can't tell you how happy I am to have this behind me. I much rather be doing the mechanical over the body and paint.

Thanks for all your kind words.

I got to see it in person today. Very sweet except it needs a hockey stick decal and some 73 slotted aluminum wheels on 225 70 14's!

Mike I tried to buy your magnums once. So if you decide to go with the slots let me know.

Tim

Ps and if you keep polishing that paint you will be able to brush you teeth in that reflection.

Got a few more pieces for the puzzle.

I read a post here about the blue thunder in takes where off back order. So I went on a mission to get one. After calling around and not finding one to be had I ended up calling Stan at Ford Powertrain Application. Less than 24hrs Stan had one on it's way. So with Stan going above and beyond to find me the intake I ordered a set of headers.
