Sorry if I missed it in this epic thread, how much work was involved getting the TKX to fit in the tunnel? I have seen on the earlier mustangs, they want you to drill out spot welds and shift the center floor support back. When I called modern driveline, I got the new guy on the phone who said he thought that was required on the 71-73 cars as well. Does the TKX fit in our tunnels or do we need to do any cutting and welding?

I have also seen they sell a shifter that's offset to one side and is supposed to line up with the shifter hole in our floor without having to cut and grind there.

The TKX fits in the tunnel pretty well. It's tight on the passenger side but I can almost get my hand up in there. I thought the shifter pedestal was a little close on the right side. I trimmed of about 3/8s of an inch from noon to 3

To bring your shifter lever up in the factory position.
The narrow shift body will clear the shifter hole without cutting the floor.

That is the shifter I have. I bought the compleat TKX package from MDL. I did cut a little over a inch off the bottom the Hurst lever.

I’d like to know what headers are those.
 
The headers are Ford Powertrain Application.
I like how they move the collectors out away from the trans. The headers I took off my car, the passenger side was super close to the trans. and the collector flange was difficult to orient to where it wouldn’t touch the trans.
 
Again been awhile since I last posted anything. Winter is off road season in the desert. Plugging away finishing up the engine bay and getting the grill installed. Prepping the Ram Air plenum for paint.

Painted the Ram Air plenum SEM trim black and installed.
Was the SEM trim black aerosol (#39143)? I have the factory ram air but the vacuum motors were shot. Some months ago NPD was having a sale so I bought their ram air setup, just to swap the motors. Still have to paint the plenum and yours looks good. Still researching all the paints I need for suspension, shock hats, grill support and such.

Yes I used SEM trim flat trim black 39143. Really pleased how it came out. With all the satin black in the engine bay I thought flat black was the way to go. On all the exterior trim I used SEM satin 49143.

Thanks believe it or not I was going to paint it yellow.
