We are in the middle of putting the engine back together. We got a 270h cam on it. Has anyone used this cam with their 351C? Just need to see if we will have enough clearance between valves and the piston and how much I gotta torque the rockers at?

Comp sells two "270H" grinds, one is "270H" for hydraulic flat tappet, the other is "270HR" for a hydraulic roller tappet. The 270H is .519 lift, which is not an issue with the factory pistons if that's what you're running. The 270HR is .566" lift, which should also clear factory pistons, but I would use clay to check clearance to be 100% certain.

I assume you had the heads redone with single groove valves and matching springs and retainers for the new cam? You'll also want to check clearance on the factory rocker slot if you have the HR cam. IIRC, the limit for them is around .560".

Factory rockers are torqued down 18-25 ft-lb.
