Hey everyone. My Uncle raced his whole life and is his wife is owner of a local Ford dealer called me up on Thursday and told me to stop over and pick up all his engines and heads and parts he has laying around his garage. Its been over 15 years since he has raced so the parts are just sitting. He told me he has a 4 bolt main engine and its either a 302 or 289. He bought it from a engine builder. Its just a bare block. Story with it, is someone brought the block to the shop and had it bored over 40, and after the work was done never paid for the work. Shop owner called my Uncle who was a friend of his and told him about the engine being a 4 bolt main and told him he could have the engine for the cost of the bore. I am thinking maybe a Boss 302 block because that is the only small block that had 4 bolt mains. My Uncle also said he has a set of ford heads for a small block that are very rare. I asked if he remember what them came off of and he did not remember. He just remember a guy hearing about him having the heads and wanting to buy them because of them being rare. Going to to stop by my Uncles today to see what he has and also see just how much he has. For years I never asked him about his parts because I alway thought my cousin would be interested in them but my cousin was the one who told his dad to give the parts to me because I would use them or know what to do with them.
