Up and runing and be going down the road soon..Not my fav car..But i think flat heads are too cool....Head insulation was up in yesterday....She almost ready for the road...Car was quite the beat bucket when it come in.

Once it is out..maybe i can squeeze my stang in there to get started

One of the first cars I ever drove by myself (before getting my license...). My Dad had one that I drove home from the air base during a snowstorm. Mom was sure pissed off about that! Those flatheads ran and sounded great. Not a Mustang, but very cool.

Sweet car man! I remember in February I met jimmy shine from SoCal speed shop, and the last thing he said to me before I shook his hand was "real hot rods don't have valve covers!" I won't ever forget that day.

Ok..Ill snipe some pics from the footage..hehe

That is cool man...And i think they do my self..This will be the second 50 ford i have drove...I had to use a flat head 1950 four door as a my every day driver during my early 20's for a few years..lol..I did not want to put the miles on my stang at the time..lol

LOL...That is awesome...We use to have a speed shop in yakima...The guy use to have flat heads and even 427 sohc's in there...He was the only one who had blowers on the shelf at the time to buy..hehe..But he went out of biz before i was old enough to buy any of it..lol....Sure flat heads not as powerfull as a regular v8..But they can be built up pretty spunky...Last one we had..Had the tri carb set up...I think the carbs where strongberg 49's? it was a old 52 merc with a 255 flat head..A big boy in the flat head world..lol

Awesome project! Are you putting the rear fender (quarter panel) spears/moldings back on it? It looks like you switched to 49/50 tail lights in the video.

From one mustang owner to another - gotta love the flat heads. This is in my '50 F1. I just switched out the radiator hoses for the radiator pipes.
