Some more odds and ends done. Started to assemble doors, right side went together ok. Left side.....

Both doors are aftermarket. The left side, the inner panel where the inside handle bolts on, had the tab hole as just a round hole instead of elongated. I had to take a dremel to it. The white door pic is the factory door. The other color is the new door, after dremel.

I still need to adjust the glass, and weatherstrip, ect.

Had a frustrating day, lol, where nothing seemed to go right. Some days are like that!

Went to put the new left outside door handle on, and it looks like I got 2 rights instead of a left and right. The original left doesn't look too bad, so put that on. I may or may not order a new one.

Went to put door lock cylinder in. Had the key in it. Got it in the door, the clip went on hard. Got the rod hooked up, everything moved as it should with the key. Great! Go to take key out, and no outie... Stuck in cylinder!. Pulled the cylinder back out of door. Clip was bent, not sure what it did to cylinder. Took the c clip and arm off, wiggled it around some, the silver "Cap" was kinda popped up a little. Tapped it in place, and key came out. Ok then.... Straightened the clip best I could, cylinder back in door, everything working good now. Another project that took way longer than it should have!

Popped the beltline weatherstrip felt on, and I think the holes in the door are slightly off, it almost pops in, looks like I'll have to elongate a couple of holes so it doesn't bulge between a couple of them. Task for another day...

Went to the hood scoops. The hood, inserts, and grills are all new aftermarket. They didn't all want to fit together real well, had to enlarge a couple of holes in bottom of hood to get them in. Not sure which part was off since all new, but made it work. I didn't like how far the studs stuck down under the hood, as I am tall and I know I will hit them, lol. So I put vacuum caps on them so not so sharp.

So didn't get as much done as I would have liked, but any progress is good progress I guess! My goal is to get it on the road this summer, so if I keep plugging away at it, I think its a good goal. I am a little worried that with summer coming, I have other projects and tasks to do also. So my attention will be split several ways. But I am going to keep pushing, hopefully I'll have more productive days than frustrating ones. Part of being a car guy!!
