My camaro was lonely & needed some company:D

Truth be told a good friend of mine begged me to help him out & fix the hacked up ignition wiring system..Couldn't come at worse time since I'm on a mission to get the camaro plated by the end of the month so I can hit some shows before the snow fly's here...He got stuck on the way home from limerock last night so there she sits..He also wanted me to do the full blown Adams polishes detail job while it's here. Car looks good but wait till you see it after I'm done ! thought you guy;s would like to see some pics..I know not a stang but Hey it's a ford with a 351c 4 v !!!:p

A pantera is the next classic car I am going to own. "Italian suit in American Muscle". Exotic. You can wrench on it. Fast as all get out. Fits tall folks (ok, not as good as a full sized mustang but a 76" tall person can drive one).

'Affordable', 'different', 'sexy'. I could go on all day...

I always wanted one too ! But after seeing alot of the known issues with these cars I'm sticking to my plan..Which is (after my 72 is done) NO MORE FREAKING RUST REPAIRS OR OLD CARS I want NEW !! I'm gonna do a 67 or 68 shelby clone or a 70 mustang using the dynacorn NEW bodies NEW efi ford modular motor etc etc ALL new Then I'm done !! NO MORE ROT OR RUST REPAIRS OR OLD CAR CRAP ISSUES FOR THIS FORD GUY !!!!!!!!

Nice, a 70 fastback would be nuts! Those damn dynacorn bodies are so expensive.........

The Pantera has always been one of my dream cars, and I've looked at a couple of local ones, but they are, in my opinion, overpriced for it's condition. I'm not serious enough yet I guess to get on a plane and spend a couple of days in SoCal looking at cars with a check in my pocket.

Qcode351mach,

Got a dollar says if the right Mach comes along you'll change your mind. It's just in our blood and nature. Let me know when you owe me a dollar. :p

Not really when you think about how much it costs to restore & do rust repairs on some of our cars..I bet some of us here have or will have when they finish way more into our cars than what it would cost to do a new body. I did some numbers & because I can do all the work myself I figured $35 to $40 large including buying the body to finish build one of those bodies. If you look around & see what guys are paying for mustangs & classics that need complete restorations you would have to be out of your mind to do it any other way. Unless of course we are talking 1 off or special cars that it PAYS to put the money into.

rust is their biggest enemy. My arm chair understanding is that they didn't have any real rust inhibitor and, to make matters worse, water doesn't drain from some of the body very well.

Hey! The engine's in the wrong end!

Seriously, every time I see a Pantera, I think, "How cool would it be to graft that drivetrain set-up into a '71-3 Mustang?" One of these days, when I have more time . . .

Man, that's crazy cool! How was the vacation Scott?
Steve HAD AN AWSOME VACATION !! Only a matter of time before I'm there full time PERFECT WEATHER !!

Made this awsome fire pit & found a great packing house that I picked up the BEST steaks from to cook on the fire pit ! Even went out & hand cut the perfect wood for cooking..I CAN NOT WAIT TILL I LEAVE THE EAST COAST FOR GOOD !!!

HMMMMM......now you got me thinkin Scott. I always wanted a 70 fastback, but all the unmolested ones you see in ads are rusted out so bad you'd be crazy to buy it. I rather not deal with the headaches rust gives me.....and I think I speak for everyone on that lol!

It's the only way to fly Alan & tell you what if they made a 71-73 body before I had started my project it would be a no brainer ! Do the math on a 70 or any other one of those bodies I will never ever do a rusted muscle car for myself again , On the other hand if somebody wants to pay me to do theirs fine & dandy !
