73 Coupe Door Sill Plates

I'm searching for the correct door sill plates for my 73 Coupe (Grande). I have purchased two sets (CJPony and NPD) but both are to narrow for my fitment.

Door sill plates look correct. Looks like someone cut the carpet too short. The carpet goes up over the top of the rocker and under the sill plate. I made that mistake, so I know. Had to buy another carpet set. Expensive mistake. I have the repo sill plates in my car, other than being a little flimsy compared to the originals they are perfect matches. I probably got mine from either CJ or NPD as well I bought quite a few things from both of them.

As I recall there is a cardboard filler panel that goes over top of the dip in the rocker panel, so the carpet doesn't sag into it. Carpet goes under the edge of the sill plate.

Yes there is cardboard under the sill plate....

Rackerm, That’s the cardboard pieces I remember.

You can use cardboard edge protectors to make replacements for these pieces. Check with some of the mail package stores in your area to buy just a couple.

Thanks to all. I did not recall removing any cardboard support structures when I took things apart, but that has been a while ago. The carpet was not cut short, I rolled it back for the photo.

My MSD Ignition system has arrived, I'll be installing it and see if I can get my Green Dragon to roar again.
