I am always suspicious when someone paints an origina, garaged car with 25k miles on it, replace the motor, rebuild the trans.

If it is a 1973 convertible H code FMX transmission car, Ford made 2,984.

If it is a 1973 convertible H code C-6 transmission car, Ford made 1,957.

Not sure where the museum curator came up with 700?

And to take a car of 19,955 actual miles, why change the color if you are restoring? Maybe the museum guy told him it must be repainted "resale red".

Not sure if that's the same one (probably) but I have seen that car on ebay before with that description. It's a bunch of hooey for sure!

It does look nice though.

It's over priced. If it's in as good condition as described, it would probably sell quickly at $5K less
