Hi guys

I'm testing the water with this one - I've noticed if you wantdo do a 1968 fastback tribute to the GT350 you can with all new parts including the body shell from Dynacorn

where can I get a 1971 body shell ?

...is it possible ?

I know how to get a new 351C and an FMX

Then it's off to all the parts suppliers to fill in the rest

...voilà .... new car.

I think they make 65, 67 68 but no demand for 71 - 73. Here in the U.S. they have to be titled as a kit car cannot be a continuation of their model or a replacement body.

Would be super expensive. I think just the body for a 65 vert without hood and front fenders is $17,000.

I would guestimate you would be in for $150,000 and would be worth very little.

I can remember when you could go to Hemmings Motor news and buy NOS Mustang bodies in the crate that were Ford built. I bet there are still some stashed away in a hoard somewhere.

You could buy gliders from Ford in primer or painted. You could get sealer delete so you could weld with MIG for race cars. Lots of the factory backed race cars were made from thinner metal or acid dipped to remove weight.

One of the members found a 71 Boss in warehouse in California few years back brand new. Was due to be factory backed drag racer and program was dropped before built. Another member that built Ford's race engines still had the engine for it and they ended up together.
