Hello,

got some ignition problems. No spark at all.I run the Accel 71201E Distributer with Accel 8145 coil.I have change the coil, check the 12V to coil and check the Magnetic Trigger. All fine.

I think the problem is the Module, but it is not available.

Did someone have any experiance with repairing this unit ?

Thanks Claus

Harbernjero,

I suspect it is the module. I am running the Mallory unlite distributor and I have had two modules go bad. Once replaced, engine started just fine.

Thanks for answer.

i try to change the Thyristor on the modul, cause it`s not an expencive one.

I googled this module but always "not available" or " out of stock".:(

Let me know if you find someone who got it.:)

That is the second way to change the complete module.

Thanks Claus

Hello Harbernjero,

Check out the 4 Wheel Parts. Listed for $85.99. I added it to the cart and it was good. Yippe! Looks like it is the off roads people who still have this module in stock!

This is the answer from Summit Racing:

"...Claus , according to Accel there is no replacement . You will need to change the distributor...".

Hello Claus,

Well, I will change it, but not an Accel part!!!! Did you try calling the three sites that I found? Maybe they have stock that has been there a bit. Maybe you should look into MSD or Mallory!

Hi,

i try to order from the 4-Wheel shop.Adding to the card is ok,but when i check out there comes the notice"...not available...".

I found out the Number of thr Transistor. It`s a Darlington Transistor BU941 ZPFI.

I ordered one(3,8o euro) and try to repair the module.

I will let you know if it works.
