More for the europeans in need of an alternative to US oils

For break-in oil, found some european oils for flat tapped classic cars.

or

http://www.oliehandel.nl/kroon-oil/kroon-oil-running-inn-monograde-30

(already using this brand for my ATF oil needs, so far no complains)

As for "regular" oil, rich in ZDDP, this one looks fine

Its also clear, that there are massive diffs depending on shops and its worth spending a few moments to pick where to buy.

On this link for 5 liters, same oil is €45, other site €105 . ($52,5 vs $122,5)

here 52 euros

If other europeans are using other brands/alternatives, please shine in.

Thanks for posting the links. I have friends in Europe that may benefit from the information. Chuck

As it doesn't hurt to ask, i've contacted the Millers oil company describing the engine with some specs and expected use.

So I'd get some kind of confirmation.

They nicely replied within 24 hours. This is the mail i got back from them:

Good Morning Fabrice

Thank you for your enquiry.

We would recommend for the running in process our CRO 10w40 ( please see attached for instructions ) this has the right amount of ZDDP and additives to protect but also not too much ZDDP that there is friction for the piston rings to bed in.

Once the running in process has been completed we would then recommend using our Classic Sport High Performance 20w50 fully synthetic oil with our award winning nanotechnology low friction additive. Our 20w50 has got 1051 ppm of ZDDP ( anything above 1000 ppm is classified as high level of ZDDP ). But the ZDDP is only one part of the anti wear protection on this oil , with the Nano technology low friction additive this is another anti wear protector which reduces friction and therefore giving more protection.

They provided 2 pdf's with the mail that I can't embed here, so uploaded them on my server:
