aligning hood

72 hood is high at lf windshield corner and gap not equal. Also does not open evenly. Are hinges weak?

Weak hinges are possible. Also might just need the 4 bolts that hold the arms to the underside of the hood adjusted. Although the later sounds easier than it probably is to do! LOL

As Barry inferred, it sounds like the bolts holding the hinges to the hood need to be adjusted. I say that because you indicated it is uneven when closed and the hinges (being weak) should not effect that. With it raising up evenly, it sounds like you need some minor adjustments to those bolts.

You might want to run it past a good body shop to see what they think. It should not be a real big deal to adjust it, if that is the problem.
