Look how the front bumper fits...

This is exactly how mine fits.... and I always thought there was something wrong with my fitment...

Yell out if yours is a perfect fit from the factory...

Is there much we can do to massage it to fit nicer?

nay your gap is fine,, mine is bad, i had to ram my bumper up into the fenders because i didn't feel like wasting anymore time, cutting the stupid fender retainer clips to fit better. if i bring my bumper down you can tell my fenders are a little KAKA... i need new fenders too.

When I restored the engine bay and remigged the front radiator support, I seriously thought about fixing the front bumber issue, but I couldn't.

Whatever I tried, something else would go out of whack. Eg, tried what you suggested, but then the grille will be out as well as the front skirt...

My last resort is to get the flapper onto it to reshape it and maybe use some fibreglass as well to build it up again...

Miles too much mucking around for me....
