OK so today was our club's monthly meeting. And while one or two of the known members w/ 71-73's showed up in theirs. (which was sort of expected)

What I (and the other 71-73 owners) was/were waiting for was another mach to show. Cause the word from one of the regulars (the guy w/ the black 73) was that a woman w/ an interesting 73 mach had contacted him about joining the club, and might show up for the meeting.

And sure enough, she did

And then 5 minutes after that a yellow one pulled in behind it. Which was totally unexpected this one showed up

Which though I didn't find out till later was at knotts and was the exact one that mach71351c took a photo of at knotts last weekend

(so apparently 1 mach from our club did make it,lol)

Now what sux is I left mine at home cause of a small idling issue (and the fact I ran some errands beforehand) and another member who has a 71 mach was having bigger engine issues w/ his so he didn't come.

But either way we ended up having 4 71-73's in the parking lot just for our club's little meeting and on top of that, if the people w/ the green one join the club. Our club will have a total of 7 all on our own (w/ 5 of them being machs). and it should be mentioned that strangly as it worked out at least 3 of them were originally H code 2V 351C's lol

(since mine is, and both of the 73's that showed up tonight were)

Your club has some really nice 71-73's

as for the PortHole windows, it have come up before, I think its a dealer installed special package.

for example here in RI Tasca Ford had the 1977-1979 Tasca Package for there Cougars XR7, they replaced all of the Cougar Embles with Lincoln ones, and aded a few extras.

I'll bet that the opera-window Mach had an aftermarket vinyl roof to go with that aftermarket opera window at one time; would explain how the bad bodywork was hidden.

Like it or not (and I don't - being a '70s Lincoln enthusiast is beside the point), the adaptation on this '73 was done with far more finesse - the trim and vinyl fits the opera window better than factory Lincoln units:

Thanks for the post...glad to see that you guys have some interest with our cars. Is the black mach the one that was at Knotts? The guy who owned it said he was from Temecula.

The one at Knott's was a 71 and a 351C. Ron's 73 has a 429 and he lives in San Diego area. Both cars are very nice.

yeah, that doesn't surprise me....both the green and yellow one are north county cars (around RB and Encinitas I think)

ok we might have to try that, we've never actually done it before and I also know it's on the club's calendar for july 12th so I would think that would be the official "mustang night" or whatever. So if you don't see us before then I will definitely make an effort to do it with the club.
