Installing sport mirrors on my '72. The left side already has the blind nuts installed in the correct locations, the right side does not. I ordered the AMK mounting kit from CJP.

I saw in a video that there is a "tool" to install these nuts. It looked like just a series of hardware (nuts, washers and a bolt), to squeeze the nut into place.

If possible, before I screw up the installation, I would like drill sizes, what hardware I'll need for this "tool", and measurements of where to drill the holes, although I could probably get those from the other door...................Thanks

Harbor Freight sells a rivet nut installation tool for about $22.

It's not awesome, but it'll do the job perfectly for the first dozen inserts.

Can't help you with the drill sizes, but I'd just measure the inserts when you get them from CJ with a dial caliper and use a bit that's just a few thousands larger.
