I had asked some time ago a question regarding my front blinkers.
The problem was or seemed they didn’t work with the headlights on. They kind of look like they were slightly dimming but nothing noticeable. They appeared to work just fine with the headlights off. The rear lights work with the headlights on and off.
So this has bugged me for some time now and I decided to take a look at the bulbs and check their function with and without the headlights on.
The bulbs are 1157’s with two elements and with the headlights off the blinker is using the thinner less bright element. And with the lights on the thicker brighter element is light up over powering the thinner dimmer element. To me this seems back wards but I’m not sure what is right and what is wrong.
They are aftermarket marker/blinker housings. So maybe the wiring is wrong and is backwards.
Anyone else running aftermarket front blinkers and have noticed this?
Thanks
