Blower fan

Whether on A/C or Max A/C the fan blows the same speed. Is this normal for the 1973 Mustang?

Yes, AC max recirculates the interior air which progressively cools it down. Normal AC draws in outside air and cools it down. Sense Max re-cools the interior air, cool down is faster. Fan speed is controlled separately by the fan speed switch.
