If you look at Turtle5353’s original photos prior to full disassembly and restoration—Ford was pretty sloppy. They weren’t worried about hard masking lines, overspray in areas that can’t be seen, and having it pretty in the transitions. The underhood and trans tunnel were semi gloss black/chassis black. The cowl had a bit of both as you can see in Turtle5353’s photos. When my son and I did his ‘69 Coupe a month ago, we were a bit sloppy following Ford’s lead. I guarantee it is painted far better than Ford did, but follows similar patterns.
