Looks like some 71-3 doors in the background...or maybe they are XB...
Yes, definitely XB-XC doors either hardtop, ute or panel van. XA ones are slightly different where the door handle goes, the metal is stamped with two slots for the door handle and not an open hole like the ones in the picture. Also XB guards leaning against the wall too. I seriously think he's dreaming trying to get that sort of money for it. 39k for the car plus resto costs, there's been really good 69/70 Boss 302's selling for around double that purchase price. Quite a few advertised in the 70k region in very good condition, also there was a national concourse gold car with heaps of documentation, that went for under 100k last year and another was Dee Sneider's (Twisted Sister) old Boss in amazing condition (saw it at a show) I think went for well under 80k.

Some expensive bits missing off the Boss--carb, distributor, pulleys, correct fan, etc. could be in the car, but for A$39k, it should run (with the right bits).

I love the snow tires on the rear!

Exactly right, the seller says 90% complete with a lot of the rare parts still there. But that's the thing are they the proper correct parts or ones that are just the same as the correct parts. Seen this many times and when you ask the seller about these so called "correct" parts, they just say that's what they were told when they bought it and have done no research on it, only taking the word of the guy they purchased it from. Totally agree for 39k, not only run but be able to drive it home on a permit if needed. More than likely one of those guys that bought the car during the boom and now is trying to get his money back, or as much as he can without too bis of a loss. There were a lot of people that done their dollars by paying way to much for these type of cars, thinking they were going to get rich by buying these cars at these so called "bargain" prices and selling them in a couple of years for a tidy profit. It's amazing what greed does to people, I know of a couple of people that got offered crazy money for their cars, only to knock it back because they'll sell them in few more years for (insert insane amount) dollars, now wishing they sold them for the stupid money when they had a chance.

As for the snow tyres, got no idea, maybe had delusions of entering in the Alpine rally or something crazy, or are they the extremely rare genuine Boss snow racing tyres.
