Brake pedal won't fully return!

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum as I just bought my 72' Mustang yesterday. It's in immaculate shape overall, it needs a new vinyl roof but the paint is still good, interior is probably a 6-7/10 which isn't bad for a 45 year old car, AM radio still works! Anyway, the brakes work fine, but the pedal doesn't fully return unless I lift it with my left foot. I drove the car home, which was about 40 miles. Previous to me driving it, it hadn't been on the road in 4 years. Any suggestions on what the issue could be? Thanks, Daniel.

1972 Mustang Grandé 351 Cleveland 3 speed Automatic.

Assuming the car has power brakes, my guess would be the atmospheric pressure relief valve inside the brake booster. Let us know what you find. Chuck
