To all Forum members.

Apologies if someone has pounced on this one before, but i thought it fitting to raise our glasses and toast the 50th Anniversary for '71 to '73 Mustang owners around the World.

Well sort of!

It had completely escaped my mind until the other day i realized our cars were around the 50 year old mark. Wow! Where have all the years gone.
After doing some fast maths in my head, that was last year for our 1971 Brothers and Sisters. Silly me!

So my apologies '71 Guys and Gals for coming late to the party, but congratulations to you big time for hitting the magic 50 year mark. Here's to you all great '71 Owners!

To all the 1972 owners, well yes, this is your big year to celebrate right now in 2022! Congratulations, and raise your glasses to all the great '72 Mustangs owners out there!

As for the 1973 Brigade, well sorry, we'll have to wait till 2023 rolls around to celebrate the glory of our 50 year anniversary i guess. Never mind.:(

I whipped up a bit of quick artwork as a small tribute to the mighty '71 and '72 Mustangs. Here's to you all!!!

I have a 73 that was built September 28 1972 so I’m celebrating that 50 year mark this year and next year too. And your right where has all that time gone?

Yes, mine turned 52 on 10-12-2022. Obviously, not an unrestored original but allot of the original car's components are still kickin' it! I promise you this, I believe outta of all the modern cars I've owned as an adult..... none will make it to 50. Not one.

50 YEAR CELEBRATION UPDATE!

Hi again to all Forum members.

Thought i'd jump in early and follow up with the 1973 Birthday Celebration Toast as a Birthday tribute to the Mighty '73 Models - the last year of the first generation early Mustangs. The 1971 and 1972 Models have been honored already, and well deserved tributes paid out for their 50 years Celebrations.

Now it's our turn to bask in the Glory, and enjoy celebrating 50 years of Mustang Pride. So happy Mustang Birthday to all you proud '73 owners out there.

LET THE LEGEND LIVE ON!!

Will join in the celebration with our '71 with a trip to the paint shop before spring, followed up by placing an order for the 2024 Dark Horse this summer.

A 2024 Dark Horse! You win the lottery????
Close, moved family from Illinois to Free America in South Dakota. So yeah it's in a (stretched) budget. We will turn 60 in 2024, old people need a 500hp hot rod to go the few blocks to get groceries.

Good for you guys. 60? you're just young pups!
I can't of course, but sometimes I wish I could turn back time to when I was 60. I'd make some changes in my life too.

It was very difficult, took over 18 months total. If we waited much longer in life to do the move, we both could not have done it. Very many irons in the fire from both locations, then top it with a teenager that had to "finish high school with her friends" tons of fun.

After all we do enjoy the new life, oh I forgot 7 cars, two motorcycles all fit in the attached garage.20220219_152755.jpg

Hey now… we aren’t old, just getting more well seasoned and still learning every day. 👌🏻

Well, you got 'er done and that's good. Very nice place you have now too. I'd die for that garage!
I hope you and the family settle in and come to enjoy your new surroundings.
Your daughter will find new friends for sure and probably won't stay in contact with the ones she left behind. If she does, they could be friends for life.
As for toys, isn't the saying "he who has the most toys, wins", or something like that.

Zelda will ride again this year! I’m done with grad school now, so I have a lot of free time to dedicate to getting my Mustang back in the road again for her April 2023 50th birthday. The weather here will probably still suck in April, so my real goal is June.

My 73 reached 50 September 28 2022 and still going strong.

Ryuncker, Any move out of Illinois is a good move. I spent 6.5 years there. If I were Catholic I wouldn't have to spend time in purgatory, I already served my time. So, you bought a garage with an attached house. Well done! Chuck
