In process of getting things prepped and ready for headliner install. Installed all my tack strips, screws for visors, etc (so they can be found and cut out after headliner install). In the process of installing coat hook screws however, I noticed that the replacement screws in my interior hardware rebuild kit (from CJ pony parts) seemed too long. I then tried installing a screw with a coat hook in place, and the screw bottomed out against the roof rail before the coat hook was even close to being tight on the tack strip (see attached pic). This makes me think there's something else that must need to go in between the tack strip and the coat hook in order for it to be spaced properly - but I have no idea what that could be? I can't imagine this is just a matter of the screws being too long. If anyone else has ever seen / dealt with this, would love to hear from you.
