Multiple Mustangs!
We discuss how to jack or lift our Mustangs quite often. Many have complained about the rubber bushings on their shocks splitting. That is usually caused by improper lifting of the car. Can also damage other components in the suspension.

So I scanned the Ford Manual 1973 Maintenance & Lubrication. Also tossed in the fancy tool to block the upper control arm with. I just use a piece of wood on top of the frame rail under the upper control arm to limit it's travel.

They do also warn that rear shocks can be damaged also.

Every time I do a post with a pic or attachment I have to go delete some of the older ones. That sort of defeats the reason for posting. If someone searches the attachments will be gone form the post. ?????

So what is the number two crossmember vs. the number three crossmember?  I have never heard those particular terms before....

#1 is possibly the core support. #2 the engine cross member. Just my best guess though.
